I wrote before about visiting Sakurazaka in Ota Ward — the place that inspired Masaharu Fukuyama’s song of the same name.
Three years into living here and I finally managed to visit during cherry blossom season.
Compare it to the previous photos and it’s immediately obvious: people, people, people. An incredible crowd.
Plenty of others taking photos, just like me. Makes sense — it’s apparently well known for its blossoms.
Beautiful weather today, blossoms in full bloom — perfect conditions for hanami.
With the camera upgrade, I managed to get shots like this too.
The top of the slope was packed with people too — though you can’t tell from the photo.
Work has welcomed new staff and gone through some restructuring — spring has finally arrived in that sense too.
Just a couple of days ago I was still in a coat. Nice that it’s finally warming up.
