Moon-Viewing Night

IMG_2741_e.jpgApparently inland Tokyo hit above 34°C again today — and yet, it’s already the mid-autumn moon-viewing night (Jugoya).

It’s supposed to be autumn. But still so hot.

They say, though, that this is the last of it. Temperatures are forecast to drop about 10°C starting tomorrow.

Everyone, please take care of yourselves.

Today I managed to leave work on time — a rare thing — so I made the most of the evening: rented some singles I’d been meaning to get, cooked dinner at home.

And then, almost involuntarily, I pulled out my telephoto lens and tripod and went to shoot the moon.

I only have a 250mm lens, so this is cropped, but it came out reasonably well.

Moon photography is tricky when it comes to getting the exposure right.
