Hello, this is Yahoo! JAPAN.

The page you recommended

has been listed on Yahoo! JAPAN.

It is scheduled to be published with the next database update (within approximately 1-2 business days), so please confirm it by checking “New Sites” within “What’s New”, or by performing a keyword search using the URL.

So, it seems that searches will be possible starting tomorrow or the day after, and a significant increase in access is anticipated. I plan to observe the situation for a while and hopefully compare data from before and after the registration.

As written on sites like this and this one,

Also, some say that the probability of a personal website being listed is harder than getting into the University of Tokyo. (Though that might be an exaggeration…)

I knew it was that difficult, and this was my third registration application.
But! I was still surprised at how smoothly it got registered.

Apparently, those who check sites for Yahoo are called “surfers.” Following the tracks of that surfer, I found that they only looked at two pages:
Top Page
Fedora 4 Installation Page
Surprisingly, they didn’t look at everything.

My guess is that the Fedora 4 installation page was the trigger for registration. Information on this page is still too new and scarce, and a special method is required to capture the installation screen. (That’s why I put anti-forgery text on it, for example.)

Indeed, I realized that unique information not covered by others is essential.

Now that I’m registered on Yahoo, I will be seen by many people. Moving forward, I want to be even more careful about providing accurate and unique information when publishing content on the web.

Thank you for your continued support.
