Tonight’s dinner was potato salad and hamburger patties.
Both made from scratch. A little tiring, honestly.
Pre-made potato salad from the supermarket is surprisingly expensive — about ¥300 for two servings.
Make it yourself and you get more than double for the same price.
Hamburger patties I used to make at home, so that went smoothly. Homemade really does taste better than packaged patties.
The challenge: shredded cabbage.
I was rushing at the last minute when the patties were almost done — the shreds came out terribly uneven. Really need to work on that.
For the sauce I just deglazed the pan drippings with Worcestershire — ultimate lazy approach.
I still have 3 uncooked patties and a large batch of salad in the fridge, so the next few days will be covered with minimal effort.
Though I’m going back to Nagoya next weekend, so the fridge needs to be cleared out by then.
