Third post today: the server.
Without a photo I couldn’t add it to the “Server Overview” page on the home server site.
Went back over the New Year break, dusted it off, and took some photos while I was at it.
As you can see: just a bare-bones setup with only HDDs installed. No frills.
That said, attention was paid to the power supply and cooling — everything runs 12cm fans. The CPU is a Sempron at the lowest end of the spec range, which keeps heat output low, making it very quiet.
Two HDDs installed: one for normal operation, and one that syncs overnight as a backup drive.
Running for about six months now without any issues.
