More About Seminar Today

You might be wondering how many times a day I’m posting to this blog — yeah, it’s a lot right now. Probably just at the start. Things will settle down eventually.

So anyway, today I’m putting together materials for a paper I need to submit soon. Here’s a snippet:

Principal component analysis is one of the most fundamental methods in multivariate analysis. It serves to summarize the information held by multiple correlated characteristic values (in this method, time-series data from X, Y, and Z-axis accelerometers converted to the frequency domain) into a small number of mutually uncorrelated composite characteristic values (values indicating the characteristics of the frequency domain distribution for each state).

Still so much more to write… It’s late, but I’ll keep going.

I’ve been noticing something lately.

The reason I can only get work done late at night is because there are no distractions.

The sound of neighborhood kids, cars passing by, my parents calling me…etc.

Going outside and gazing at the night sky from the balcony is also nice. The occasional sound of a passing car actually feels kind of soothing.

Once I start working, this is going to be a problem. Definitely.
