Today I went out for yakiniku with a university friend who also lives in Tokyo.
Apparently they’ve been reading this blog — which surprised me, since I hadn’t expected them to be checking in.

Somewhere in the conversation the topic turned to cameras, and I ended up photographing the yakiniku in progress. Slightly shaky because I was a bit drunk by then.
We hadn’t seen each other for over a year and a half, but they seemed to be doing well — relieved to hear it. Three hours wasn’t nearly enough to catch up — I’d love to continue that conversation sometime soon.
