Cycling season.
Cycling season.
Last year I managed to ride even in summer, but this year that wasn’t happening.
It’s finally cooled down enough, so I headed out for the first time in a while.
It was cloudy in the morning, so I didn’t leave until the afternoon — which meant keeping it nearby.
Apparently the Keikyu level crossing near Route 8 and Daiichi Keihin is closing for good today.
Keikyu has been elevated onto an overpass — finally free from that crossing bottleneck.
The stretch toward Ukishima was heavy industrial zone, with massive plants lining the way.
At Ukishima Park, with Haneda Airport nearby, there were plenty of camera enthusiasts with telephoto lenses.
Maybe 20% of the crowd were fellow cyclists. It seems to be a popular route for cycling too.
The sky today was clear blue and crisp — beautiful autumn weather.
Winter will be here before long. But this comfortable in-between season is worth savoring.
