Master’s Thesis Public Presentation

« Previous Next »

Today was my master’s thesis public presentation.
After weeks of being up until around 3 a.m. every night working on seminar material, my presentation time was 10 a.m. — a completely different rhythm.
Absolutely couldn’t be late, so I went to bed early the night before. (Relief.)

Back in September I’d given an English presentation in front of foreign audiences in Fukui, so this time — with mostly university people in the room — I wasn’t very nervous. Something I should really thank my supervisor for, I think.

That evening I went out for drinks with friends for the first time in ages. Finally getting back to normal life.

From here, there are a lot of things to take care of before the April entrance ceremony for the new job:
· Cleaning the room (sorting out everything from student days)
· Shopping for working life (suits, grooming items)
· Graduation trip (planning somewhere domestic for now)
· Getting fit (I’ve been sitting writing the thesis — my body is genuinely out of shape. For real.)

Going to tackle them one by one.
