Beaujolais Nouveau season is here.
Come to think of it, I bought some last year too.
Starting to feel like an annual tradition. Apparently this year some supermarkets are selling it in plastic bottles for a pittance.
That feels a bit too stripped-down for my taste, so I bought the glass bottle version.
I’ll be honest — I don’t really know much about wine. But it’s a once-a-year thing, so.
Oh, and I used the points from buying the DSLR to get a Walkman!
I’d been using an iPod nano, and the difference in sound is immediately obvious.
Not even in the same league. The Walkman is dramatically better.
The Sony character — the bass, the crispness in the high end — things that sounded muffled through the iPod come through clearly.
And with noise cancelling built in, I can listen at a comfortable volume even on a noisy train.
I used to add a separate noise-cancelling headset to the iPod, but this Walkman beats that combination in both cancelling ability and sound quality.
16 GB for about ¥19,000. Highly recommended.
