Waka-Taika

Kotonishiki Oyakata has been appearing on TV a lot lately. He used to seem like someone who avoided the spotlight, but ever since the rift between the two brothers became public, I keep seeing him everywhere. And he talks a lot.

Whatever really happened between them, only the brothers themselves know the truth. But I wonder — is he really okay with airing all of this on television, talking openly about the inheritance and his feelings about his brother? Doesn’t it risk damaging his own image?

The media is grabbing this opportunity to book him for live appearances left and right, but I just don’t understand it.

I think the best thing in life is for brothers to get along. If they’ve had a fight, wouldn’t it be so much better to sit down and talk it out face to face?
