I, Kei, work part-time at Parking Lot No. 1 and Parking Lot No. 2 somewhere in Nagoya.
Parking Lot No. 1 is in the middle of the entertainment district, and at night you see all kinds of people — salary men wrapping up work, business owners meeting for drinks, and young people heading to clubs. It’s not unusual for people to still be leaving at 4 in the morning.
Parking Lot No. 2 is in an area with a lot of adult entertainment businesses. There, you often see groups of four or five guys show up, then return about two hours later looking noticeably more relaxed.
Well, I’ve gotten used to it.
Since the main job is moving cars in and out, when things are slow I bring my laptop and study for my seminar. I also have an H” connection, so I can use the internet too.
I’ve been doing this part-time job for about three and a half years now. Just over six months left until graduation.
By the way, apparently I’m on the overnight shift tonight. (→ feels like someone else’s problem)
