Hmm. To be honest, I didn’t feel like it had changed much from the 2.x series.
However, since UTF-8 is the fundamental character code for Fedora, I felt it was optimal for ensuring compatibility with that.
Next time I upgrade from RedHat to Fedora, I’ll definitely try using 3.0.
