The other day, the Flets Hikari Premium installation work was done.
Since I run a home server, upload speed matters most.
With ADSL, maximum upload was 1 Mbps.
After switching to fiber, I measured around 50 Mbps.
Significantly better environment — very happy about this.
Back in the day I was on ADSL 1.5M, so this is quite a leap in comparison.
While we were at it, the phone was also switched to Hikari Denwa (fiber phone), which should lower the phone bill too.
The downside: there are now three boxes of equipment to keep running, so I’m a little worried about the electricity bill.
I’d like to write up what the setup looks like and how it’s all connected on the homepage at some point.
