This year’s Golden Week (yes, it’s already June) — I did something unusual and had my parents come visit Tokyo.
Having adjusted to Tokyo life after more than half a year, and with work being busy, this felt like the right time.
Unfortunately, the weather was bad most of Golden Week. The final day, May 6, was the one clear day — so we went to Tokyo Tower.
There’s also a Tokyo Tower at the top of this blog’s header, now that I think about it.
Being a Tokyo resident and turning completely into a tourist felt a bit strange. We went early in the morning, so despite it being Golden Week, crowds were manageable.

And just like that, Golden Week slipped by.
I barely had any real break since work barely let up — I find myself wanting a proper long holiday more than ever.
