This is from a trip to the Ise-Shima area from January 2 to 3, when I visited Daio-zaki Lighthouse.
Living in Tokyo, all you ever see are buildings — I was craving a horizon, which is partly why I went.
Good weather, and we were able to go up inside the lighthouse. The wind was fierce, but somehow it felt refreshing.

This lighthouse has the feel of somewhere you’d see in the climax of a Japanese mystery TV drama. I asked a local, and apparently filming does actually happen there sometimes. Plausible.
