Sleepy… leave me alone…
A hippo, sleeping contentedly as if to say exactly that.
It was warm today, after all.
Everyone faces the sun for nap time!
Past noon, the animals all switch to nap mode at once. Flamingos are no exception.
Moral: go to the zoo in the morning. For a confirmed night owl like me, that is genuinely painful.
Ohohohoho. You’ve really fallen for this camera thing, haven’t you.

Ended up going. With so many animals, ¥600 is a bargain.
There were quite a few other people there clearly for photography purposes too.
Animals are a first for me as subjects. They sleep, turn away, fences get in the way — the challenge level is surprisingly high.
But when you get a good shot, it’s genuinely satisfying.
